Sincerity is a promotional release by Dave Ball, which contains unique versions of several songs from his In Strict Tempo album.

Recording[edit | edit source]

There is currently no information regarding the recording of either the album or separate tracks. Title song and B-side feature Genesis P-Orridge on vocals, who also wrote lyrics. Not listed track, “Strict Tempo”, is instrumental version.

Release[edit | edit source]

A promotional ‘Advance DJ Copy’ was given DJ's to test out and rate the tracks and write back to Phonogram. According to attached Phonogram promo sheet there never was intention to give it proper single release.

Although the labels on the record and its promotional sheet suggest only two tracks, without indications of them being different from album versions, in reality it contains additional two instrumental tracks on each of its sides.[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • In a 1983 interview for ZigZag magazine Marc Almond, when talking about In Strict Tempo, said that songs by Ball and P-Orridge might be released as a single,[?] but as stated by Phonogram, it never really happened.
